Sebastiao Salgado at The Natural History Museum

Sebastiao Salgado is one of my favourite photographers so I was very excited to see such a large body of his work in one place. This exhibition, entitled Genesis, does not disappoint.

Salgado is a highly esteemed documentary photography.  His work often explores traditional ways of life, their alienation from their natural environments as well as the relationship between people and our planet.

Genesis is the culmination of eight years of work where Salgado traveled and photographed around the globe.  He documented environments, animals and people. The result is an incredible exhibition of beautiful and moving images that if nothing else should make us question where and how we live.

If you have any interest at all in photography, in images that tell a story, or in our planet then this exhibition is a must.
