Photographing a wedding is a huge responsibility and aside from the technical skills to do it well you need passion, understanding and plain commonsense.
As a photojournalist (or reportage photographer) I use photography to tell stories that I consider to be important. Many of these stories have ended up in magazines and newspapers and on the walls of art galleries around the world.
A wedding is a truly great story. It is an honour to be able to capture the magic, emotion and love of a wedding day and I do not take the responsibility lightly.
I utilise my photojournalistic approach to photographing your wedding. I like to photograph unobtrusively, capturing spontaneous moments, from the quietly intimate to the unforgettably fun. I photograph your day as it unfolds, recording all the beauty and emotion for you. Having discussed your day with you I will tell your story, photographing what is important to you, not some generic idea of what I think is important. The result is a set of amazing images that truly tell your story and that will last a lifetime.

"Mary-Jane is wonderful. Not only does she take fantastic photographs but she knows how to put everyone at ease and she knows more about the ups and downs of a wedding day than anyone could ever tell you. Mary-Jane's advice has been invaluable. Highly highly recommended." Susie and Jamie
